Kinetic Sculpture of Tim Prentice
![Date Date](/universal/images/transparent.png)
Here is my latest favorite sculptor: Tim Prentice. His sculpture reminds me of one of the contents of an art class I and my former coleague Peter Rasmussen tried to design one time at Columbus College of Art & Design before Peter retired: art work that moves by the force of natural elements. In Prentice's case, it is the force of wind. His work represents a perfect marriage between mathematical precision and an element of chance. Aesthetically elegant and incredibly sophisticated. His work is so mesmorizing, I could easily watch these pieces move all day long!
Here is a short video on his work and his philosophy by Corey Shaff.
