It took me 12 years to feel finally ready to use this image for my art. This is a photograph of a part of my mother's skull the day she was cremated. I had this strong urge to photograph these tiny bones that night before her remains were to be taken to the cemetery. What I was feeling at that time was hard to explain. I knew that I just had to do it. It felt like a responsibility...
