VanDyke Brown on Stonehenge paper, 11" x 9", 2019.
I worked on this print from an old 4" x 5" negative I had shot over 10 years ago. I accidentally exposed a negative 3 times during the photo session. This image had been tugging on my creative sleeve ( sort to speak ) for quite some time, making me want to do something with it although the original shot was a mistake.
I like the sense of movement and semi-abstraction of the figure created by the triple exposures. The softness of the printing process also enhanced the image quality, I think.
The model was Elisabeth. I used to work with her a lot. She was one of the most inspiring models I have ever worked with and I made so many good pieces using her as a model.
