I took Carol Griffith's watercolor class at CCAD. This was one of the homework assignments for her class: "Still-life with meaning". I figured "Why not do another Vanitas piece for this?". So here it is. The pomegranate I cut in half and left for a few months got moldy and came in handy for this piece. The music score is Mozart's Requiem. The book the skull is sitting on is a biography on the Russian inventor/spy Theremin.
