Vanitas Book on Blurb
I updated the book of my Vanitas series by adding the new pieces from my recent show at 934 Gallery to the collection and made it available to public through Blurb site.

I had a 2 week run of my solo show "Vanitas" at 934 Gallery. Here are the snapshots I took the night before closing.
My drawing "Vanitas 11" was featured in Drawing Magazine special issue "Strokes of Genius 11" competition as one of the winners (top right corner in this spread). This competition was juried by one of my art heroes Steven Assael and that makes this even more meaningful to me. I am truly honored to be included in this collection of fantastic artists. Seriously, this issues has some INCREDIBLE art works in it.
Here is a still image from a video footage I shot of me working on the final piece "Vanitas 22" for my solo show. This is so far one of the favorite pieces of mine. It is an homage to one of the artists I admire Kent Bellows. I am so close to the finish line. I am tired but I keep pushing myself. I have to make my show the best that can be.
I entered this juried show for the first time in 10 years and got 2 drawings accepted. We had an opening reception at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center last night. It was a great turn out and great fun. I saw many faces I had not seen for years. One of my pieces Vanitas 18 won the 2nd place. Here is a snap shot (courtesy of Fatima Taylor) of me and George Leach.
