Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 09:18AM I just finished a commission project given through PatronArt. It was a painting of this couple who seemed to be newly weds when the original photograph was made many decades ago. It was such a sweet image and I was really interested in turning it into an oil painting. When I get a charming source material like this, the commission becomes an enjoyable one.
Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 06:04PM I finally finished Vanitas 18 today. It took me a while, but I am relieved that it looks good and I am ready to move onto the next piece.

Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 12:01AM Recently I received good news that my 4 pastel paintings from Vanitas series were accepted into the 74th Annual May Show at Mansfield Art Center, Mansfield Ohio. And one of the pieces "Vanitas 14" won the best of show. It was totally unexpected and was a really nice surprise!
