Oil on panel, 12" x 9", 2014.

I started this painting with earth colors and continued on with a limited color palette. My favorite part of this painting is the transition from the half tone to the shadow around the edges of the shoulder blades. I like the way the brush strokes in the vertical direction intersect the shift of colors that moves horizontally.
