Friday, August 16, 2013 at 09:06AM My photo pieces are going to be included in a group show called "Presence: A Dialogue with the Human Form" at Capital University Schumacher Gallery, Columbus, OH. The opening reception is Friday September 20th. Looking forward to that. One of my pieces was used as a banner on the Face Book page for this exhibit.
Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12:51AM This week I drove down to Asheville, NC for a photo shoot of my upcoming papercraft book, "Paper Birds". I spent 3 days in my publisher Lark Books' studio working as a stylist with the designer Shannon Yokeley and their photographer Steve Mann. We photographed 40 paper birds including baby owls and baby penguins. Shannon is such a perfectionist. She doesn't get satisfied until she gets near perfect shots. I admire that. Thanks to her, the photographs turned out really nice. My birds looked much better than I had imagined. Below are snapshots of the photo session.

This book is scheduled to hit the book stores in June 2014. Just like my previous books, it will have templates to copy and cut, and step-by-step instructions. I will update on the book's progress in my later posts.
Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 09:59PM Today I installed my exhibit of Paper Pups in Bexley Public Library, Bexley OH. This was the very first time even for me to be able to see all the pups I created in one place at one time. I am happy about the way it looks. This exhibit runs for a month from 8/1 to 8/31. I am scheduled to do a paper pups workshop in the library for grade school children in December (date TBA). Below are a few photos of the exhibit.
Now this exhibit has been extended to the end of September October.
Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 09:40PM My good friend Joan DeMartin was kind enough to advertise my new book "Paper Pups" on her blog Bocci's Beefs. During this photo shoot, Bocci was so excited that I had hard time keeping him still with me. Somehow I managed it. She is giving away 3 autographed copies of this book.
