Monday, October 14, 2013 at 09:20PM I participated in a group show called "Presence: Dialogue with the Human Form" in the Schumacher Gallery at Capital University, Bexley, OH from September 20th to October 18th 2013. This was a very interesting show. I really enjoyed viewing a variety of mediums, concepts, and unusaul interpretations based on this age-old subject-matter. I took some photos of the exhibit and made panoramas.
Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 02:23AM I just completed a new piece called, "Peepshow #9". It is a kinetic sculpture in a small wooden box just like the other Peepshow pieces I previously made. This one is the smallest ever (6 inch cube). It's going to be included in an upcoming show called, "Naked" at Hammond Harkins Gallery. This is a group show by the faculty of Columbus College of Art & Design. We are all submitting the pieces based on this theme, "Naked" bringing in our individual interpretations. It should be interesting. The show will run from 10/18 through 11/17. The images below are the exterior view of the piece and the interior view through the peephole. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:26PM My lovely editor at Lark Books, Ms. Beth Sweet who worked on Paper Pups book with me posted this photo recently on BarkBox Facebook. This is Willow: a female boxer who lives with Beth. This photo was taken in July last year during our photo session for Paper Pups. Willow is such a gentle and sweet girl. In this photo, she is mellowing right next to her look-a-like I made for Beth. 
BarkBox, boxer, dog paper craft, kirigami, origami book, paper pups in paper craft Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 12:15PM I just got back from a photo shoot at Lark Books in Asheville, North Carolina. It was for my upcoming paper craft book, "Paper Monsters and Curious Creatures (working title)." I worked on this book during my sabbatical this past spring along with "Paper Birds" book. I designed total 40 projects and it looks like this book will contain approximately 30 of them. The rest will go online as free bonus stuff. Below are a few snapshots I took during the photo session. Just like for my previous books, I worked as a project stylist during the photo shoot. My book designer is Kristi Pfeffer and photographer is Steve Mann. The photo shoot took place in Steve's studio.
