Graphite on Bristol board, 18.5" x 12.5", 2021.

After several concept and design changes, this piece ended up being in the simplest state in both accounts. I am satisfied with my decisions and happy with how this finished drawing looks now. I scraped off the conceptual "fat" because I realized all the other things I was thinking about bringing into this piece initially were not needed after all. The drawing is strong enough to stand on its own and should be left alone. The theme of Vanitas is still there but in its stripped-down form. Simple is always the best.
